Year 6 visit to The Buddhist Centre
On Monday 20th May, Year 6 visited the Buddhist Centre in Preston. In R.E. the children have been learning about Buddhism and this trip was an opportunity for the children to develop their understanding of this religion.
The children were greeted by Pagpa, a Buddhist monk, who showed the children into the prayer room after having removed their shoes. Pagpa explained the meaning and benefits of meditation in the life of a Buddhist and the children were given the opportunity to look at some offerings and special symbolic pieces.
Thank you to Pagpa for coming us feel so welcome.
